LawY Contract AI is live! Draft, redline, and review in Word today.

Summary

LawY for Word is now live, bringing AI-powered drafting, redlining, and document review directly into Microsoft Word. No switching tools, no setup and no disruption to how you already work. Open a document, and LawY is ready to go.

You no longer need to switch between LawY and your document. Open Word, open LawY, and everything you need is in the same window.

LawY now runs as a sidebar directly inside Microsoft Word. From there you can:

  • Review contracts: Open any contract and get an instant clause-by-clause breakdown with risk flags benchmarked as high, medium, or low against standard market positions.
  • Redline with precision: Upload a counterparty document and LawY generates tracked changes directly in Word, ready for you to accept, reject, or negotiate with a clear explanation attached to every suggested change.
  • Research in context: Ask a legal question inside the document and get a cited, jurisdiction-grounded answer without leaving the page.
  • Summarise documents: Turn a 40-page contract into a one-page brief in seconds.

No copy-pasting. No tab-switching. No uploading the same document twice.

Why we built it this way

Word is where legal work lives. We've always believed LawY should fit your workflow, not add to it. Putting LawY inside Word isn't a feature it's a commitment to that principle.

How to get started

If you're an existing LawY subscriber, the Word add-in is available now. Install it from the Microsoft Add-ins store here, log in with your existing credentials, and you're ready to go. Alternatively, you can download LawY for Word directly in Word by clicking the add-ins icon and searching "LawY for Word" and clicking "Add".
